WHERE IT GROWS

Two Landscapes. One Standard of Purity.

Our ingredients don’t come from the same place — and that’s the point. Each is grown where it grows best.

The High Andes

Maca has been cultivated in Peru’s high-altitude Andean soil for thousands of years. We source ours from above 3,000 metres in Junín, where altitude and soil quality directly affect potency — working with small farming cooperatives who have worked this land for generations, and paying fairly at origin rather than through layers of middlemen.

The Amazon Basin

Camu Camu grows in the rich, biodiverse ecosystem of the Amazon rainforest. We source it minimally processed, preserving the naturally occurring vitamin C the berry is known for, without added fillers or synthetic isolates.

PROOF, NOT PROMISES

What “Scientifically Verified” Actually Means

We’d rather show our process than ask you to take our word for it.

Third-Party Lab Tested

Every batch is sent to an independent laboratory for purity and potency testing before it’s released for sale — not tested in-house, where results are easier to shape.

Gelatinised for Bioavailability

Our Maca is processed using heat and pressure to remove natural starches. That’s what “gelatinised” means in practice — a digestion step, not a marketing term — and why our powders are gentler on the stomach than raw Maca.

No Fillers, No Proprietary Blends

What’s on the label is what’s in the bag. No hidden fillers, no vague “proprietary blend” listings that obscure actual ingredient ratios.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before You Buy

The questions we hear most, answered straight — no hedging.

What is Maca Root?

Maca is a cruciferous root vegetable native to the high Andes Mountains of Peru. It’s been used for thousands of years as both a food source and a traditional wellness tonic, typically consumed as a powder, capsule, or extract.

Is gelatinised maca better than raw maca?

Not necessarily better — just different. Raw maca is less processed, with a stronger, earthier flavour, and can be harder to digest. Gelatinised maca has its natural starches removed through heat and pressure, making it easier to digest and often more concentrated — which is why we use it across our range.

How can I tell if a maca product is high quality?

Look for Peruvian origin, third-party testing, transparent labelling, and clearly identified maca varieties. Avoid products with vague “proprietary blends” or hidden fillers — quality varies significantly based on growing altitude, soil quality, and processing methods.

Does maca contain hormones?

No. Maca doesn’t naturally contain oestrogen, testosterone, or other human hormones. Researchers believe it may support hormonal balance indirectly, by influencing the endocrine system and stress response, rather than supplying hormones directly.

How much should I take, and how long until it works?

A common starting range is 1–3 teaspoons of powder daily, or per capsule/extract instructions. Maca isn’t an instant-effect ingredient — most people notice changes after several days to 2–6 weeks of consistent use, depending on dosage and individual factors.

Can maca cause side effects?

Maca is generally well tolerated, though some people may experience digestive discomfort, bloating, or headaches — particularly at high doses. Starting with a smaller amount can help minimise this.

What is Camu Camu, and is it a source of Vitamin C?

Camu Camu is a small berry native to the Amazon rainforest, widely recognised as one of nature’s richest natural sources of vitamin C. It has a tart, citrus-like flavour and is most commonly added to smoothies, juices, and yoghurt.
